How does breast cancer appear?
This question came from women that live in the dilemma of being at high risk for breast cancer because they carry mutations in the BRAC1 / BRAC2 genes. What we are trying to do in the laboratory is to literally re-manufacture the breast of these women from cells that have been withdrawn from their skin. We hope to see the birth of cancer and try to learn more about how cancer forms in the breast and with this try to diagnose this anomaly earlier and also try to better prevent the onset of this cancer.
