What iMM seeks: At this moment, iMM is looking for a Skilled Laboratory Technician to join the Biology & Physiology of Malaria Laboratory coordinated by Doctor Maria Mota, under the research project Genetic variability in Plasmodium Liver Stage Schizogony, funded by “La Caixa” Foundation, under the supervision of Inês Bento.

Work Plan Activities

  • Perform laboratory experiments and procedures, following established protocols and ensuring accuracy and precision;
  • Maintain and operate laboratory equipment, ensuring they are in optimal working condition;
  • Prepare and analyze samples, conduct assays, and record data accurately;
  • Assist researchers in planning and executing experiments, troubleshoot technical issues, and suggest improvements;
  • Keep detailed records of experiments, protocols, and results;
  • Order and manage laboratory supplies, ensuring an adequate inventory;
  • Contribute to lab safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment;
  • Collaborate with other team members to support research projects and achieve shared goals.
