Our Flow Cytometry Platform
The Flow Cytometry Platform provides a state of the art flow cytometry service and expertise to GIMM researchers as well as external groups from other research institutes and companies.
Laboratory staff is well trained in instrument operation, providing support to cell sorting, sample acquisition, panel design and data analysis. Training is available for all analytical instruments and SOP are implemented to comply with the highest quality standards required to ensure reproducibility in science.
If you want to purify a cell population in your sample, we can help you by providing a cell sorting service using 5 high speed cell sorters (BD FACSAria IIu, BD FACSAria Fusion, BD FACSAria III, BD FACSDiscover S8 and Cytek Aurora CS).

How to use the service
- The Flow Cytometry Platform systems are available to GIMM researchers and external users.
- Support Services, such as Consulting (1st Meeting Project Presentation, Experimental Planning, Sample Preparation, and Troubleshooting), Panel Design and Data Analysis are available. Book a meeting with our team to discuss your experiments and how we can support you.
- If you need to use our analyzers frequently, follow the Training guidelines to have Training in our systems. Depending on your needs and usage frequency, you may acquire data with our assistance. We recommend booking a meeting with our team to discuss your needs and options.
- If you need to use our Cell Sorters, follow the Cell Sorting guidelines to have access to our systems.

Service Hours
- 10 a.m. - 12 a.m. and 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. for Training, Assistance and Consultations
- 10 a.m. - 6pm for Cell Sorting
- 24 hours, 7 days a week for Equipment Usage by authorized, trained users
