Aida Santos has an Undergraduate degree in Biology and a MSc in Genetic Molecular Biology and Biomedicine from Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia, Universidade Nova de Lisboa.

Aida joined the iMM Bioimaging Unit in June 2019, after studying the dynamics of the actin cytoskeleton in endothelial tip cells using confocal microscopy, in Cláudio Franco's lab at the iMM.
