BioImaging Workshop, 20 - 22 January 2009

Introduction

Carl Zeiss MicroImaging and Instituto de Medicina Molecular are happy to invite you to the Advanced Optical Sectioning Microscopy Course, hosting the European premier of Zeiss On Your Campus Tour 2009 featuring the next generation of 3D Live Cell Imaging systems. As a microscopy user, you will have an excellent opportunity to learn about advanced techniques as well as use high-end systems such as confocal spinning disc, TIR and structured illumination. Get three days of inspiration from top imaging experts and colleagues in a relaxed atmosphere. We are looking forward to show you the newest developments on optical sectioning microscopy. This meeting gives you a unique opportunity to get familiar with the new systems, know their comparative strengths and try them with your own samples. The course will take place in IMM Lisbon, from 20 - 22nd January 2009.

The Systems

During the course you will have the chance to attend demos and try the following systems with your own samples:

  • LSM 700 - Entry level confocal system
  • Laser TIRF 3 - Total Internal Reflection Fluorescence system
  • Cell Observer SD - Spinning Disc system
  • ApoTome - Structured Illumination system
