Diogo Coutinho has a BSc in Biochemistry from Universidade de Évora (2019) and a MSc in Oncobiology by the Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de Lisboa (2024).

Diogo joined the iMM Bioimaging Unit in February 2023, after studying the effect of LDL-cholesterol in breast cancer intravasation, in Sérgio Dias' lab at the iMM. His MSc project aimed at observing cancer cell transendothelial migration in real-time, and required the optimization of 3D live-imaging acquisition.
