During her Masters in Molecular Biology and Genetics in 2021, Patrícia was @ Nova Medical School (NMS) with Lara Carvalho from Jacinto's Lab. She worked with Drosophila Melanogaster embryos to study wound healing when planar cell polarity was disturbed. For this she used a spinning-disk with laser ablation and two different point-scanning microscopes. Being enthusiastic with the microscopy field, she joined the Advanced Imaging Facility @ Gulbenkian Science (IGC) in September 2021 as an Imaging Specialist. Now, you can find her on the Bioimaging Platform @ Gulbenkian Institute for Molecular Medicine (GIMM). Her main interests are high-throughput microscopy, photomanipulation techniques and image analysis (specially the QuPath software). ==== Publications ==== * [[https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39992313/|Axon-specific microtubule regulation drives asymmetric regeneration of sensory neuron axons]], Costa AC, Murillo BR, Bessa R, Ribeiro R, Ferreira da Silva T, Porfírio-Rodrigues P, Martins GG, Brites P, Kneussel M, Misgeld T, Brill MS, Sousa MM, //Elife// **2025** ---- [[https://imm.medicina.ulisboa.pt/facility/bioimaging/doku.php|Back]]
