Lab Management works as advisor and authority regarding safety with products, equipments and installations. Training and development of standard operating procedures is the key to achieve high standards of safety and effectiveness in the use of equipment and infrastructures.
Is also responsible for the adequate selection, acquisition and installation of new equipment and the design of (re) new laboratory infrastructures, applying the health and safety practices according to National and International Legislation.
The Purchasing Office is responsible for the Internal Storehouse, reducing the waiting time for the most common materials and for External Orders, centralizing all the Institute acquisitions, either products, services (including import/export) or equipments. Thanks to this centralization, it also provides updated information on prices, ongoing promotions, new products and delivery conditions.
The washing room provides researchers with clean and sterilized material, according to each research specific requirements and it is equipped for the preparation and sterilization of all types of materials and solutions.
Information about Rooms and Equipments
Under the National Programme for Scientific Equipment Renewal (PNRC) IMM acquired numerous equipment with the aim of renewing scientific infrastructure.
All of these equipments can be used by external users. The Lab Management is responsible for the schedule and monitor of the equiments.
External users should fill the Form "Request for Equipment/Room Use by external Units/Entities", and send it by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
