Jobs
Please get in touch with Nuno
(nmorais[at]medicina[dot]ulisboa[dot]pt) if
you are interested in our work and consider
being part of the NMorais Lab. Please include a
letter of motivation with your research
interests, your CV and the contacts of two
references. When available, funded positions
will be duly announced but, by default,
candidates are expected to apply to their own
fellowships.
Postdoc:
We are particularly happy to support the application of very promising young
scientists (with the quality,
motivation and ambition to become
group leaders) to La
Caixa Junior Leader Fellowships, should we be chosen as hosts.
Amongst the other potential sources of funding for postdocs, we highlight
the FCT Individual Call to Scientific Employment Stimulus, the Marie
Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships, the
EMBO
Long-Term Fellowships and the Human
Frontier Science Program
fellowships.
Exceptional candidates willing
to apply to the calls above can aspire
to a fully funded earlier start in our
lab. Please get in touch with Nuno
(nmorais[at]medicina[dot]ulisboa[dot]pt) for
more details.
PhD:
We primarily recommend applying to the Lisbon
BioMed PhD Program:
We are also
open to considering applications to FCT
Individual PhD Studentships, La
Caixa INPhINIT, Boehringer
Ingelheim Fonds PhD Fellowships
(international students) or other
funding sources suggested by the
candidate (for integration in the Lisbon Academic Medical Center PhD Program). We also consider the possibility of co-supervising a PhD in industry.
Masters:
Some of
our projects are compatible with Masters
theses in Bioinformatics, Computational
Biology, Biomedical Engineering and related
subjects. We will be welcoming Masters
students again in the second semester
of the 2019/2020
academic year.
Short-term training and academic visits:
Amongst the potential sources of funding for short-term stays in our lab, we highlight the EMBO Short-Term Fellowships ant the Becas Santander.
